Celine Dion’s triumphant return to the stage has rewritten the record books. Her comeback residency, “Celine Dion Paris,” grossed $125.5 million across just 16 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore figures reported October 29 — a per-show average of roughly $7.8 million, the highest ever for a concert residency.
The run played September 12 through October 17, 2026, at Paris’s Plenitude Arena (formerly La Defense Arena), selling 539,000 tickets. The $7.8 million per-show average surpasses U2’s Sphere residency, previously the benchmark at about $6.1 million. Average attendance of 33,700 per night roughly doubled the previous best per-show residency attendance record, held by Billy Joel’s long-running Madison Square Garden stand.
The numbers mark a remarkable comeback: these were Dion’s first large-scale shows in more than six years, following the cancellation of her 2023 tour after her diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome. The 58-year-old singer’s return has been framed as one of the great concert comebacks of the decade, and the box-office figures back up the superlatives.
The run also carried symbolic weight: Dion performed in her adopted home country, where her bond with French-language audiences runs deep. For an artist whose career was nearly ended by illness, selling out an arena twice the size of her old Vegas theater at record prices is nothing short of a second act for the ages.
Dion is not done with Paris yet. She will return for a second leg of 10 shows between May 8 and 29, 2027 — and if the first leg’s pace holds, that run could be just as lucrative.
