Street Fighter Collapses 72% in Its Second Weekend at the Box Office

Paramount and Legendary’s Street Fighter has collapsed in its second weekend, falling 72% to $8.6 million in North America over October 23-25, 2026, after opening at $30.8 million a week earlier.

The film fell from first place to fourth, behind Clayface at $24 million, You Can See Everything at $19.5 million and Wildwood at $11.6 million. Its domestic total now stands at $46.9 million, with $79.6 million worldwide, against a reported production budget of $82 million, co-financed by Legendary and video game developer Capcom, with Paramount handling distribution.

The cinema count was unchanged at 3,575 theatres, suggesting the drop reflects audience response rather than a loss of screens. The pattern points to an opening driven largely by franchise fans who turned out in the first weekend, without the broader audience needed to sustain the run.

With only about half its ticket revenue returning to the studios before marketing costs, Street Fighter still has a long way to go to break even, and its second-weekend fall is now one of the steepest of the year for a major opening.
