A concept promo video of Apple’s first foldable iPhone has reportedly surfaced online. Several renders and details about the device have already appeared in recent leaks. Apple’s foldable iPhone could be launched globally on September 9. Its design appears to be somewhat similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, which Samsung launched globally last month.
Leaked Promo Video
Tipster Your Tech Guy posted a promotional video of the iPhone Ultra on his X account. The 56-second concept video reportedly showcases the phone’s design, appearance and features.
At the beginning of the video, the phone can be seen in the hands of John Ternus, Apple’s Chief Executive Officer. The rear panel features a dual-camera setup. The camera module looks very similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. However, the cameras are arranged horizontally on the iPhone Ultra, while Samsung’s foldable smartphone features a vertically aligned camera setup.
The phone appears to have rounded corners on all sides. The front features a liquid-style display, while the iPhone Ultra is shown with an under-display selfie camera. There appears to be no visible camera cutout on the display.
The power button is placed on the side, while the volume keys are positioned above it. Speakers are also visible on one side of the device.
According to the concept video, the foldable display does not have a visible crease. The hinge also appears to close without leaving any noticeable gap.
7.8-Inch Foldable Display and A20 Pro Chip
According to the video, the iPhone Ultra could feature a 7.8-inch main foldable display. The smartphone is also shown with Apple’s A20 Pro chipset.
The device is expected to feature a dual-cell battery system. A USB Type-C charging port and two speakers are positioned at the bottom.
Could It Launch on September 9?
Apple has not officially revealed any details about its upcoming foldable iPhone yet. The company could hold its next Apple Event on September 9, where it may launch the foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
According to reports, Apple’s iPhone lineup launching this year could see a price increase of up to $100, or around ₹10,000.
Note: The iPhone Ultra details mentioned above are based on the reported concept video and leaks. Apple has not officially confirmed these specifications or the launch date.
