Kaley Cuoco has expanded her family once again. The 40-year-old actress announced on Instagram on October 14 that she and fiancé Tom Pelphrey have welcomed their second daughter, born October 12 — and revealed a beautifully uncommon name: Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey, nicknamed “Philo.”
Philomena is a rare vintage choice, sitting outside the U.S. top-1,000 baby names since 1942. The middle names carry family meaning: Carmine honors Cuoco’s father, while Bobby comes from Pelphrey’s side of the family, per reports.
“Family officially complete,” Cuoco wrote, sharing the news. The couple’s three-year-old daughter Matilda — born March 30, 2023 — marked her promotion with an adorable “Big Sister” shirt. Pelphrey posted his own announcement, calling the new arrival “another miracle” and praising Cuoco as a “CHAMPION.”
The couple began dating in May 2022 and got engaged in August 2024. It has been a landmark year for the family on other fronts too: last month, Cuoco supported Pelphrey at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14, where he won outstanding supporting actor in a drama series for HBO’s Task.
With a new baby, a toddler, an engagement and an Emmy, the Cuoco-Pelphrey household is closing out 2026 in style — and fans are already debating whether the vintage name Philomena could spark a comeback trend. Read Zazie Beetz’s pregnancy reveal and Kylie Jenner’s Fantasy Bra moment.
