Jennifer Lopez Teases New Song “Proof of Love” Inspired by Twins Heading to College

Jennifer Lopez has a new song to share — and it was written from the ache of an emptying nest. In a Variety interview published October 28/29, 2026, Lopez revealed “Proof of Love,” a track inspired by her 18-year-old twins, Max and Emme, leaving for college.

Lopez described the song as a “happy dance song” about the duality of love — the idea that “pain and grief when someone’s gone” is itself proof of love. She returned to the studio to cope with becoming an empty nester, and says she has written “some of the best songs” of her career in the process.

“Proof of Love” will appear as a bonus track on the first-ever vinyl edition of her 2011 album “Love?” — the record that gave us “On the Floor,” “I’m Into You” and “Papi.” Three vinyl variants opened for preorder on October 28 and arrive in November. Lopez also teased more new songs to come, joking to Variety that she has a couple of other tracks in the works that her fans will love.

The new music arrives alongside a busy season for the star: the “Love?” vinyl preorder went live the same day as the interview, and fans got a first-listen teaser on social media — thousands of comments welcoming JLo back to pure dance-pop.

Meanwhile, her concert film “The JLo Show: Live in Vegas” premieres November 26 — Thanksgiving — on CBS at 8 pm ET/PT, with an extended version streaming on Paramount+. It looks like a busy season for the Bronx-born star, on stage and in the studio.
