The game takes place on Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and will air on ABC and ESPN and stream on Disney+. It is the first time the 56-year-old rapper, whose company Roc Nation has produced the halftime show since 2019, will perform as its headliner. In a statement shared via Variety, he called the booking the continuation of a journey from his debut album Reasonable Doubt to the world’s biggest stage, describing it as a dream come true.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said that when the league first reached its agreement with Roc Nation, his one request was that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him. Apple Music’s Oliver Schusser called Jay-Z’s impact on global music culture profound and undeniable, and said the company was thrilled he would finally take the stage himself.

Jay-Z, a 25-time Grammy winner and 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, follows a high bar: Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX show became the most Emmy-awarded halftime show ever with seven wins, while Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX show is the most-watched halftime show of all time, according to Apple. A Road to Halftime series on Apple Music will carry exclusive content through the season.
