Axis Bank does not run one single all-India recruitment notification with a fixed vacancy count and deadline. Instead, hiring happens in two lanes: a structured training-to-job programme called the Young Bankers Program (YBP), and rolling direct branch roles advertised post by post. Here is how both lanes work, so you can choose the right one.
Young Bankers Program (NIIT Track)
The 12-month Axis Bank–NIIT IFBI programme combines 4 months of residential training, 3 months of internship at Axis Bank and 5 months of on-the-job training, leading to a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Services from NIIT University and an assured job as Assistant Manager or Branch Relationship Officer, subject to successful completion. Eligibility is a graduation degree with more than 50% marks in any stream, age above 20 at the start of training, and 0–2 years of work experience, with proficiency in spoken and written English. Selection is an application, an online Career Readiness Assessment and NIIT interaction, then enrolment and fee payment. The total programme fee is Rs 2,37,288 plus 18% GST (Rs 2,80,000), including training, boarding and lodging and a learning tablet, with a registration fee of Rs 11,800 after selection. The stipend is Rs 5,000 per month during training and Rs 24,491 per month during the internship, and the starting CTC is stated as Rs 4.54 lakh onwards as Assistant Manager. Note that the Manipal Academy of BFSI track of the same programme is a separate track with a different CTC of Rs 4.42 LPA — do not mix the two.
Direct Branch Roles
Axis Bank’s careers portal regularly lists Branch Relationship Officer, Relationship Officer and customer-service branch roles, and at least one Branch Relationship Officer listing explicitly states that freshers can apply with any graduation or post-graduation degree. Salary is marked “not disclosed” on many of these listings, so do not trust blog figures for direct roles. Separately, press reports have said Axis Bank plans campus hiring of 12,000–12,500 in FY27, up from about 11,500–11,600 in FY26 — but that is a hiring plan, not an open vacancy notification with a deadline.
How to Apply
Apply only through the official Axis Bank careers portal on axis.bank.in for direct roles, and through the official partner pages (NIIT or Manipal Academy of BFSI) for the Young Bankers Program. Never apply through third-party blogs or Google Forms, and beware of fake vacancy claims — widely shared claims of “6,000+ vacancies” or fixed 2026 deadlines have no official Axis notification behind them.
