Tampa Bay clinched the American League pennant with a 7-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians in ALCS Game 6 on October 19. Junior Caminero’s two-run homer in the 7th broke it open, and Yandy Díaz added a two-run shot in the 8th. Rays pitcher Freddy Peralta was named ALCS MVP after two starts — including the Game 6 clincher — plus one relief appearance.

Milwaukee’s road was even more emphatic: the Brewers swept the two-time reigning champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, reaching the World Series for the first time since 1982. They did it with an MLB-best 103 regular-season wins.

The demand is unprecedented. The get-in ticket price for Game 1 reached $3,107 by midday Tuesday — spiking to $3,169 on Monday night right after the Rays clinched — per TicketData. That’s just below Super Bowl LX’s $3,361 last-minute price, and the series is on pace to set a World Series record.

The schedule: Games 1–2 in Milwaukee (Oct 23–24), Games 3–5 in St. Petersburg (Oct 26–28), and Games 6–7 back in Milwaukee (Oct 30–31) if needed. Two franchises, zero titles, seven games maximum — this is what October baseball is all about. Also read SpaceX’s blockbuster quarter and Shubman Gill’s record double century.
