नई दिल्ली। वनडे वर्ल्ड कप 2027 अब सिर्फ एक साल दूर है। टूर्नामेंट 2 अक्टूबर से 21 नवंबर 2027 तक साउथ अफ्रीका, जिंबाब्वे और नामीबिया में खेला जाएगा। भारत का पहला मुकाबला 7 अक्टूबर 2027 को केपटाउन में डिफेंडिंग चैंपियन ऑस्ट्रेलिया से होगा — यानी 2023 फाइनल का रीमैच। इसके बाद 10 अक्टूबर को जोहान्सबर्ग में पाकिस्तान से भिड़ंत होगी।
रोहित के लिए यह टूर्नामेंट खास इसलिए है क्योंकि 2023 में वो कप्तान के तौर पर टीम को 10 लगातार जीत दिलाकर फाइनल तक ले गए थे, लेकिन खिताब से चूक गए थे। उस वर्ल्ड कप में रोहित ने 597 रन बनाए थे और 31 छक्कों के साथ टूर्नामेंट के सिक्स-किंग बने थे।
फॉर्म भी उनके साथ है — हाल की वेस्टइंडीज सीरीज में रोहित ने गुवाहाटी में 101 और न्यू चंडीगढ़ में 92 रन बनाए, और ओपनर के तौर पर 10,000 वनडे रन पूरे करने वाले चौथे बल्लेबाज बने। BCCI अध्यक्ष मिथुन मनहास भी कह चुके हैं कि चयन का पैमाना उम्र नहीं, फिटनेस और परफॉर्मेंस होगा। यानी 2027 में 40 साल के होने के बावजूद रोहित का दरवाजा खुला है — बस फिटनेस और फॉर्म बरकरार रखनी होगी।
