Infosys is one of India’s biggest IT employers, and its fresher hiring is a landmark event for engineering graduates every year. The entry-level role is System Engineer, recruited through campus drives and off-campus hiring on the Infosys careers portal. If you are graduating in 2026 or passed out recently, Infosys Recruitment 2026 should be on your list — the training at the Mysuru campus is considered among the best in the industry.
Eligibility
Fresher hiring generally covers B.E./B.Tech (all branches), M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc (CS/IT) graduates with a consistent academic record — typically 60% or equivalent CGPA in 10th, 12th and graduation, though exact cut-offs are announced with each drive. Good communication skills and basic programming knowledge (any one language — C, Java or Python) are expected.
Salary and Roles
The System Engineer fresher package has been reported at around ₹3.6 lakh per annum in recent hiring cycles, with higher bands for specialist roles (Digital Specialist Engineer and similar) offered to top performers in the selection test. Salaries are revised from time to time, so check the offer details of the specific drive you apply to. After training, freshers are allocated to projects across development, testing, support and emerging digital units.
Selection Process
The process usually starts with an online assessment — aptitude, logical reasoning, technical MCQs and pseudocode/coding questions. Shortlisted candidates face a technical interview (fundamentals, your project, one or two coding problems) followed by an HR interview. Infosys does not charge any fee at any stage; offers come only through official channels.
How to Apply
