New Delhi: Former India captain Rohit Sharma penned an emotional tribute for outgoing Team India fielding coach T Dilip, whose contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently came to an end.
Dilip served as India’s fielding coach for the past five years and built strong relationships with several players during his tenure. He shared a particularly close bond with Rohit Sharma, who expressed his gratitude through a heartfelt Instagram Story following Dilip’s departure.

T Dilip joined the Indian team’s support staff in 2021, when Rahul Dravid was appointed head coach. He continued in the role during Gautam Gambhir’s tenure and remained with the team until the conclusion of the 2024–25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
His contract was later extended for India’s Test tour of England before eventually coming to an end this year.
