iQOO recently launched its new budget-friendly gaming smartphone, the iQOO Z11 Lite, in India. Designed primarily for casual gamers and everyday users, the phone packs a massive 6,500mAh battery and is the most affordable model in the iQOO Z11 series so far.
One noticeable feature is its traditional waterdrop notch display, a design that has become quite rare in today’s smartphone market. We used the device for several days to see how it performs in real-world conditions. Here’s our detailed review.
Price and Variants
The iQOO Z11 Lite is available in three storage variants:
- 4GB RAM + 128GB Storage: ₹19,499
- 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage: ₹21,499
- 6GB RAM + 256GB Storage: ₹24,499
Design
The smartphone comes in two color options—Midnight Blue and Solar Flame. We tested the Solar Flame variant, which features a glossy back panel with an attractive finish.
The rear houses a dual-camera module with an LED flash and a slightly raised camera bump. The iQOO branding is centered at the bottom of the back panel, giving the phone a clean appearance.
The device has a plastic body, but it resists fingerprints well, making it suitable for everyday use without constantly wiping the back panel.
Rounded corners improve the grip, making the phone comfortable to hold. The power and volume buttons are placed on the left side, while the bottom includes a dual-SIM tray, USB Type-C charging port, speaker grille, and microphone.
Display
The iQOO Z11 Lite features a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, which feels outdated compared to modern punch-hole displays offered by competitors.
Although the display offers up to 1,200 nits peak brightness and comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, the thick bezels reduce its premium appeal.
Watching videos, streaming live cricket, and browsing content was decent, but the HD+ resolution falls short in this price segment, where many rivals offer Full HD+ panels. Overall, the display quality is average and leaves room for improvement.
Performance
Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The phone runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6, which provides a clean and smooth user experience. During setup, users can skip installing unnecessary apps, keeping the interface free from bloatware.
For everyday tasks like social media, browsing, and multitasking, the phone performs well. Light games run smoothly, but demanding games may cause occasional frame drops and slight heating on the back panel.
The smartphone also includes several AI-powered features that enhance the overall user experience.
Battery
Battery life is undoubtedly the strongest feature of the iQOO Z11 Lite.
The smartphone packs a 6,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
For moderate users, the phone can comfortably last two to three days on a single charge. Even heavy users can expect a full day’s usage without needing to recharge.
The bundled fast charger takes approximately 55–60 minutes to fully charge the device.
Camera
The iQOO Z11 Lite comes with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of:
- 50MP Primary Camera
- 0.08MP Secondary Sensor
For selfies and video calls, it offers a 5MP front camera.
In daylight, the primary camera captures decent photos with good colors. However, images lose detail and become pixelated when zoomed in significantly.
Low-light photography is average and may disappoint users expecting better night performance.
The phone supports HD video recording from both the rear and front cameras. While the overall camera performance is acceptable for casual photography, the front camera needs improvement. An additional ultra-wide or macro lens would have made the camera setup more competitive in this price range.
Verdict
The iQOO Z11 Lite is a good option for users looking for a budget smartphone with excellent battery life and reliable everyday performance.
Its premium-looking design, clean software experience, and long-lasting battery are its biggest strengths.
However, the HD+ display, dated waterdrop notch, average cameras, and limited gaming performance make it less competitive compared to some rivals in the same price segment.
If your priority is battery life and daily usage, the iQOO Z11 Lite is worth considering. But if you’re looking for a sharper display, stronger cameras, or a better gaming experience, there are better alternatives available in this price range.
