Oh Father! became the first casualty of The Boys Season 5 finale, and in the most unexpected of ways. During the White House raid, Oh Father! fights Hughie and Mother’s Milk. During the fight, when Oh Father! is about to unleash a super-powered vocal blast at Hughie, M.M. gags him with a reinforced ball gag (which Ashley had previously gifted him), making his head explode.
The Deep
The Deep meets an unceremonious end as he faces off with Annie. Almost bringing their dynamic to a complete circle since the first episode, where Deep had forced Starlight to perform oral sex, Starlight beat Deep and blasted him into the ocean.
As the aquatic creatures had threatened earlier, the moment Deep was in the ocean, he was killed by an octopus.
Homelander
Perhaps the most important death in the series, Homelander was killed by Billy Butcher after Kimiko blasted both of them with her new power.
This led to Butcher and Homelander both losing their superpowers. With no superpowers to give Homelander an advantage, Butcher beat up Homelander mercilessly as the fallen superhero begged Butcher to let him live.
Ultimately, Butcher pried open Homelander’s head live on national television, ending his reign.
Terror
Butcher’s beloved dog, Terror, passes away in his sleep. Butcher finds him peacefully dead in his bed shortly after Ryan rejects his appeal to start afresh together.
Billy Butcher
Even after winning the war against Homelander, Billy Butcher attempts to kill all supes by unleashing the virus. Realizing his plan, Hughie follows Butcher to the Vought Tower, where a confrontation occurs.
After a fight, when Butcher is about to release the virus, Hughie shoots him dead. However, it seemed just before Hughie shot him, Butcher was about to go back on his decision to unleash the virus. However, Hughie had shot him just before that, effectively saving all the supes
